The White Album....

So I'm thinking about the concept of white rooms.  It is always a popular choice and possibly the safest option to go for.... though I've often thought that white rooms, in a combination with children could easily just end up with white hair and a slightly constant grump!

  White rooms look spacious, clean and tranquil if they are softened with layers of different whites or punctuated with another colour or material....otherwise they can end up looking sterile and clinical don't you think?  x

I just love the mixes of these fabrics.....matching and perfection can create a feel of uniform and this idea of combining and blending beautiful and contrasting fabrics looks individual and refreshing!  x

Hello there!  The Dandelion House have been busy with styling an album cover,  working on a commission in a apartment in London and gathering some beautiful vintage treasures in Sweden!  We had such a lovely time there that we wanted to share with you some photos of just some of the things we found.  Feels so nice to be busy with lots of interesting and pleasurable projects....we are happy Dandelions. x

It's a kind of luxury piece of furniture.  For sliding off to in the afternoons and reading a book or catching forty winks with a bear.....lovely. x

 I'm feeling a little guilty.
Haven't blogged for a while due to my thoughts racing around some lovely projects we have going on at The Dandelion House.  Which of course is a good thing but I've found it's left me feeling surprisingly unfocused in gathering other inspirations to share....So I thought the best I can do is show you little glimpses of the project themes we are working on.

We are really excited about the work ahead and look forward to showing some photos when we are done...maybe even some along the way.....Off now to bake a ton of cakes for my kids school sale ( a job I'm least confident about!)  Wish me luck! xx
